Changes

Lots happening here at the moment. It seems as though my summer trip is turning into plans for a longer stay. Goals and ideas that have been brewing for a long time are also materializing in a really exciting way. I have some exciting projects on the go and I just want to give things space to evolve without a time limit.
For the majority of this school year, I struggled a lot with the way my art practice was developing. I want to give myself time to expand on a body of work that is cohesive and authentic to my voice. After attending a very inspiring lecture this week, I felt compelled to get working on a new self-directed project and it is the first time in a long time that I've felt this excited about my personal work.
So without further ado, I'm really happy to announce Secret City.
In addition, Bert and I are working on the new collection for Meilen Collaborative, which we will be launching very soon. The new collection features a lot of new functional ceramic pieces, new original prints, wall paper, stationery and a lot more.

Wishing you all a wonderful weekend!

If you are in Toronto, the closing reception for Rock N' Roll 4: A Celebration of Stone Lithography is happening tomorrow night. I have a print up and there is a lot of incredible work to see.  It is sure to be a really great time.

This is so refreshing to read. I have been trying to find me authentic voice through my work too, recently, and it's been really bothering me. I loved reading this as it sounds like you are coming through the other side and like you have real direction. It's very exciting!
PS - I know exactly where this is - I miss Toronto and cannot believe it's been 8 years since I lived there! yikes.
